28-January 2006 - 6:30pm A Dialogue for individuals, families, and the community to increase understanding about AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS Virtually everyone in our community is somehow connected to Autism Spectrum Disorders. Through a classmate, a family member, friend, or neighbor most of us know at least one individual living "on the spectrum". This forum is designed to foster dialogue, learning and connections to help individuals and families understand autism in an open environment. The desire is to bring together people who want to better understand the disorder so that they can more effectively address the needs of individuals within their families and communities. The January session will be facilitated by Brian Holmquist. Brian is an occupational therapist practicing in the Madison area. He will discuss the sensory and occupational therapy needs of children on the autism spectrum. Saturday, Jan 28 6:30pm-9:30pm at the home of Selwyn & April Swe - 934 Sauk Ridge Trail RSVP to selwyn@selwyn.org. Please include names of all people attending. Limited number of child care spaces are available. If interested in child care please inquire when making your reservation. |
