Wisconsin Family Assistance Center for Education,
Training & Support, Inc. (WI FACETS) is a nonprofit
organization serving Wisconsin children and adults with
disabilities, their families and those who support them.
We were founded in 1995 by parents who believed that
parents are the best advocates for their children. WI

IDS - Integrated Development Services -

Most professionals agree that the best outcomes for
children with autism spectrum disorders occur when they
participate in at least 20 to 35 hours of specialized
intervention each week during the early years of
development. Our Intensive In-Home Autism Program is
designed for families who want an intensive, play-based,
relationship-focused approach to autism intervention.

The Wisconsin Early Autism Project, Inc., is a program
and clinic for the treatment of children with autism
based on the work of Dr. Ivar Lovaas, the pioneer of an
intensive behavioral approach with proven best outcomes.
WEAP provides ongoing therapeutic treatment through its
local clinics for families in Wisconsin, Australia, and
Vancouver as well as training workshops with follow-up
supervision for families in other parts of the United
States and the world.

Respite Care Association of Wisconsin -

RESPITE is temporary relief for caregivers and families

special needs such as chronic or terminal illnesses; or
are at risk of abuse and neglect. Respite Care
Association of Wisconsin (RCAW) was organized in 1987.
RCAW supports and advocates for quality systems of
respite care for Wisconsin families.

The Katie Beckett Program is a special eligibility
process that allows certain children who are residents
of Wisconsin with long-term disabilities or complex

provide an effective therapeutic horsemanship program
for children, youth, and adults with disabilities and

Special Olympics Wisconsin

Special Olympics Wisconsin (SOWI) is a statewide
organization providing persons with cognitive
disabilities year-round sports training and competition.
Individuals who are at least eight years old and are
identified as having a cognitive disability are eligible
for participation.
Challenger Little League

The Challenger Division was established in 1989 as a
separate division of Little League Baseball to enable
boys and girls with physical and mental disabilities,
ages 5-18 or the completion of high school, to enjoy the

SOAR - Structured Opportunities
for creative Autism Recreation

Mad City Stars Training Facility is proud to
announce their newest recreational program. This new
program gives children with autism spectrum disorders
from ages three to twelve an opportunity to get exercise
and develop physical and social skills in a safe,
structured environment. The 45 minute class will build
on sensory experiences, enhance the child's social
skills, and provide FUN while increasing phsical
activity. This class is designed to provide a safe and
positive learning environemtn for children to gain
mastery over their bodies and acquire new skills through
tumbling and movement activities. Each class will begin
with a social story and families are asked to bring a
typically developing sibling or peer to each class to
help serve as peer models.
