Fireworks - Put a finishing touch on a great day by
joining us at the Blackhawk Country Club at dusk (about 9:00 pm) for our
Annual Fireworks Display. The volunteers of the Fire Department began
setting up and shooting the fireworks show at Blackhawk in 1948. Over
the last 60 years the show has evolved to be bigger, better and safer.
This year's show should be excellent. We always have a surprise or two
up our sleeves. While there is no charge for the show, donations are
heartily encouraged and will be solicited at the Country Club. If you

Airshows of Wisconsin, Inc., announced its lineup for
the Third-Annual Baraboo-Dells Air Show, which will take
place from June 27-29th, at the Baraboo-Dells Municipal
Airport. "The annual air show event has turned out to be
a very positive development for the Baraboo-Dells area,
the local surrounding communities, and most notably, the
local airport, said Paul Rogers, the event's founder and
director." "The air show is continuing to develop into a
real destination event for the area, and has provided
significant local economic impact," he said.
FIRST EVER TWILIGHT PERFORMANCES TO OPEN THE AIR SHOW.
One of the newest additions to the air show this year,
is a dazzling twilight air show, to be held on Friday,
June 27th, starting at 8 p.m. The twilight air show will
feature exciting air show acts and activities, all
taking place at the Baraboo-Dells Municipal Airport.
Twilight air show performers will showcase their acts
with an exciting arrangement of pyrotechnics, sparklers
and lights, tracing through the night sky. Gates open
for the night air show on Friday, June 27th, at 6 p.m.
NEW AIR SHOW ACTS HIGHLIGHT THE AIR SHOW.
Air show visitors can experience the thrill of precision
aerobatics, as new performers hit the lineup this year,
including the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne All-American
Parachute Team, the L-39 Albatross Jet Aerobatic Team,
the Screaming Rebels T-6 Texan Aerobatic Team, and a
vintage WWII warbird P-51 Mustang "Gunfighter" precision
flight demonstration act, plus many other air show acts.
Also new this year is the original 'Batcopter,' from the
series "Batman," flown by Capt. Eugene Nock from the
Wisconsin Dells area. Spectators can also experience the
romance of open cockpit flight, as biplane rides and
helicopter rides will be available at the air show. A
new and expanded "Kid's Fun Zone" will also be a major
part of the air show this year, as well as an expanded
Sport Aircraft Showcase and vintage Car Show. Enjoy

Bring your flashlight along as we dance with fireflies and explore the
Gardens by moonlight. We'll visit the Thai Pavilion and Rose Garden,
Olbrich's two lit gardens, and then head to darker places to look for

Come to the Monona Terrace on Wednesday mornings and enjoy this fun
children's program. Local performers and organizations will provide
entertainment, hands-on fun, and learning for children ages 4 to 8.
Programs will be held on the rooftop unless otherwise indicated. In the

Let the beauty of Olbrich
Botanical Gardens set the perfect stage for a night of music. Bring a
lawn chair or blanket, and spread out for a picnic surrounded by
Olbrich's lush flowers. Or, purchase a brat or hotdog from the Madison
East Kiwanis. Picnics are allowed in the Gardens for the Tuesday
concerts only. In case of rain, concerts will be held indoors. A $1
donation is suggested. Concerts are sponsored by the Olbrich Botanical

is a program of MMoCA and visits parks and playgrounds in Black Earth,
Cross Plains, DeForest, Fitchburg, Lake Mills, Monona, Mount Horeb,
Stoughton, Sun Prairie, Verona, and Waunakee.
